Robocops

I shot this essay in grad school as part of an assignment. LaGuardia airport in Queens, New York City stared using automated security drones at its Terminal B. Something struck me about the personality of these little robots, and how their presence represents a physical manifestation of the growing surveillance state in which we all live. I spent a few cold nights taking the bus out to the airport, hanging around the arrival terminal and watching people interact with the robots.
